During the repair process, James and the mechanic faced challenges of performing real-time diagnostics while on the water, with a computer wired to the engine. Recognizing the need for a solution to eliminate the need for an onboard mechanic, James engineered a groundbreaking solution.

As a result, PILOTEC technology was developed, providing cutting-edge wireless and mobile diagnostic tools for engines.
